Edwin first started in this hobby in 1996 flying electrics aircrafts with the SULA club at California State University at Dominguez Hills. A year later his dad introduced him to methanol power and the rest is all history.
Like many of us Edwin began his scale aerobatic conquest with a YS 120 powered Goldberg Extra 300. Big plane by that time's standard but took no time to move up to his first giant scale plane, a 1/3 scale Laser. As his interest in competitions grew Edwin started competing in scale aerobatics in 2000 and has logged numerous wins including 2001 Southern Californa Aerobatic Team (SCAT) Intermediate-Class Season Champion and 2002 SCAT Advance-Class 3rd Place finish.
In 2003 Edwin is blessed with the arrival of a new baby boy, future TOC champion I'm sure, and is staying side-line from competitions for now. But between a busy career and his new baby Edwin still finds time to perform Free-Style demonstration flights at airshows and contests. However look for his grand return to SCAT in 2004.
